We have exactly 2 weeks...TWO WEEKS...of our first year at Rhema left. It has gone by so fast, we can't even believe it! We've grown and learned so much, have formed amazing friendships, and have had an awesome time here in Oklahoma. We're coming up on our first year of living here too (July 1st!), which is also CRAZY.

| These are plastered all over campus, reminding us crazy Bible students to do our best! |
Easter weekend was super fun! Saturday evening, we hung out with our friends Jordan and Amanda. We went to Victory Christian Center's Easter production of the last week of Jesus' life. Right as we parked, an awesome dude in a golf cart picked us up to take us to the front entrance. It was a BRILLIANT production. So well done. I don't know if I've ever seen a play so done so well.
| Packed house! |
The next morning, Brent and I went to church. Afterwards, we had our own Easter lunch. It was the first time I had ever cooked a holiday meal, even if it was just for two. (And so what if the ham I bought was pre-cooked? I still put it in the oven!)
| We ate outside - it was a gorgeous day! |
| Southern sweet tea with my, um...Northern sweetie. |
| We laid on a blanket after lunch, out back. Brent did homework and I tried to nap, but ended up just interrupting him by trying to take pictures. |
| Me being a stalker again. This is Bertie, the adorable older woman who lives a few apartments down from us. She was hiding Easter eggs for her grandkids who were visiting. She's too adorable for words. I had to take a picture! |
| I know you're jealous of this meal. |
I've recently been attempting to live more simply. Part of this new adventure included making my very own mixes.
| Here are the tortillas - so delish! I also made my very own chili. It was so good! I'll never buy canned again...especially because they don't have Cattle Drive out here! ;) |
| Cookie Dough Brownies! These brownies were actually made with chocolate chips, not my mix. And the cookie dough frosting is homemade and eggless! |
| Kosher is Kool! |
The Saturday after Easter, we went on a triple date to a Hibachi restaurant! Then we went to a frozen yogurt place.
| David & Courtney, from Oregon. |
| Amanda & Jordan, from Pennsylvania. |
| So, before anyone came out to start cooking for us, they brought us this box of hot towels. We felt just like Adam Sandler in The Wedding Singer. Sure enough, the people at the other end of our table just patted their hands with them and put them back in the box, so we all awkwardly did the same. Then a server came and took them away. Um....cool? Maybe we're just not that fancy. ;) |
| We came home to find a white crayon attached to the notice-holder outside our door! |
The day after our triple date, the three of us girls went and did some shopping. So here I am modeling some of my fashion-forward finds... ;)
Brent and I went to Barnes and Noble the next Saturday. He did homework, and I read magazines. It was sooooooooooooooooooooo relaxing.
| On our way home, we passed a shaved ice shack, like Snoasis back home. The line was even farther down the road then what you can see here! CA-RAZY! |
Last Sunday was a volunteer expo at our church. Brent and I are on the altar care team, so we, along with our friend Remon, manned the booth!
| We came home to find THIS on our living room floor. We've seen these a few times. I always think they're cockroaches, but apparently it's just a common beetle...so we're told. Praise the Lord we've never had cockroaches! Ewww.... |
And finally, we found some Voila! Reminds me of being at my mother-in-love's house back home!
