On Wednesday nights at church, they always ask if anyone has a praise report to share and people go up and share. By the way, the Christianese translation of a "praise report" is something awesome that happened to you or someone you know, thus sharing it and giving praise to God for said good thing that happened. Anyway, I don't usually go up (then again, I don't usually go to Wednesday night service either), but tonight I thought it appropriate to share that Brent and I got into student housing, so I did. As per mentioned in the previous post, people get excited about Rhema. As soon as I said that's where we were going, people clapped and shouted and it was great. So I say my thing, I sit back down, and the service continues. After the service was over, two...TWO...ladies came up to me, neither of whom had I ever met. One was currently living in Tulsa and attends Rhema Church. She talked about how much she loves Tulsa and said her husband could hook us up with jobs because he knows all of the managers of all of the grocery stores in the Tulsa area which is great because Brent is all about the grocery stores. She gave me her number and told me she'd call me tomorrow. Awesome! The other woman just graduated from Rhema last year and told me how much she loves Tulsa and Rhema. She also told me that her son and daughter-in-law are Rhema grads too, have a home in Tulsa, and have lots of friends and we could be friends with them...et cetera. Anyway, she gave me her number, as well as the two of theirs. Awesome times two! Feeling super blessed right now, and am even more excited to get there! Oh!! And they both told me at different times that tornados never hit Tulsa, that they always break apart and go around "green country" as they call it. So, now my mom might be able to rest a bit easier... ;)
So, as always, God is incredibly, awesomely, amazingly, GOOD!!!
