Last Week in Twin, Part 2

...the week continues.

Wednesday, June 27th

On Wednesday, Brent and I met my dad for sushi at Sushi Ya!

Then, Courtney, Brent, and I walked from Lisa's house to Sonic for SLUSHES!!!

Once we got back from Sonic, it was about an hour before our going-away shindig! Ally, Tiffany, and Leslie got there early to help get things ready. The get-together went from 7pm-10pm, with the last guests leaving at around midnight. We had around 25ish people there throughout the night, and we had a lot of fun seeing our friends and loved ones one last time - I only cried like, one and a half times! ;) Anyway, most of these photos were taken by 7:30, and then I just kind of stopped, haha!

Leslie!

Ally, our unofficial party and event planner. ;)

Get it - it's travel themed! Not going to lie, it took me a minute or two to get it. I know...

Sisters! (...and Brent.)

Andrew, Scott, and RJ

April, Bri, and Michaela

Brent, just chillin'...
Thursday, June 28

Today (it's still today for another half hour!), we spent the entire morning (from around 7am to about 2:30pm) getting final errands run and packing our final belongings.

Final trip to 9 Beans for a while. We split a breakfast burrito...look at us, bein' all frugal! It was delish!

Snacks at Winco! This is our meal supply for two days...here's hoping we don't get tired of wraps.

The car is packed full.

This is the view from the driver's seat. These pictures don't do it justice. We'll be driving very, very carefully, haha!
Then we headed to my parents' house for one last hoorah. Again, I only cried at the end, and it wasn't too bad. Also, because mine and Brent's 9-month anniversary is this Sunday and we won't be able to take our wedding cake top with us for our one-year, we brought it over to eat tonight! It was a very loving, relaxing, and just all around at-peace evening...the time for Brent and I to venture is definitely right! Here are a few photos from the evening...

Well, that's really about it. It's a quarter to midnight on Friday the 29th of June, 2012 - the day has finally arrived! Brent and I are beginnging the journey to Oklahoma in about eight hours exactly. It's sort of starting to sink in, but I don't know how much sense it makes, haha! It still seems so surreal that it's actually happening...it's finally here! If you think about us this weekend, please pray for safe travels and no car problems! It would be much appreciated. We love our family and friends in Idaho so much, and will miss them greatly, but words can not begin to describe how excited we are for this new chapter and season in our lives. Who knows what God has in store for us!

Anyway, I best be off to bed - long day ahead of us! Probably won't post for a few days, if not a full week or so. It'll just depend. But as soon as we have internet and are settled in, we'll keep you posted on our goings-on.

Sleep well and be blessed! (And also, good morning...it's now 12:01am.)

Last Week in Twin, Part 1

Well, it's finally that time...MOVING TIME!!! But before the big move, there was the final week. Friday the 22nd was Brent's last work day, the 23rd was mine, and then...the week began!

Sunday, June 24th

Sunday was our last Sunday morning service at Amazing Grace Fellowship. It's our home church, and always will be - even when we find a new home church, haha! Anyway, it was great to see everyone and enjoy the sermon (it was a good one!). We also got there a bit early to eat our last breakfast in the Fellowship Hall. That's where a lot of events and get togethers occur, and on Sundays it's definitely a gathering place in between, after, and before services! At this time, I've been there for exactly six and a half years! Crazy. What a life changing time! Brent has been there for two and a half years, and his life has been equally changed. We love AGF!

Later that evening, we went to Jonathan & Heidi's house for dinner - spaghetti and meatballs - yum! We all went for a walk afterwards, and later took some pictures. It was really nice! At one point while I was holding Tyler (10 months), four-year-old Owen came up to me wearing his dad's hat. He said, pointing to the hat, "I'm daddy!" He then began tugging at Tyler's leg and yelled "DON'T TOUCH MY BABY!!!" It was adorable! Branson was a bit emotional going to bed - he was sad to say bye! - so Heidi brought the boys over the next day so they could bring us drawings they had done so we could hang them on our fridge to make it feel like home!

Us and the boys!

Forgive the blurriness! We were trying, and it was late...

Heidi had some super cute painted toenails, and I may or may not have decided to copy her, like...the very next morning. ;)
Monday, June 25th

Tiffany and I met for coffee at Java in the morning. I had to have one last Bowl of Soul, their signature coffee drink. Mmmm...no more for a while!

Later that day, I met my friend Marilla for coffee too. I tried to just have water, but she insisted on treating me to something since it was our last coffee date for a while, so...I drank a lot of water the rest of the night! ;) Later that night, a small group of friends got together for our final FFF - Friday Film Friends. Seriously...that's what we call it...or, us? Not sure really. Basically, we get together about once a month (usually on a Friday) to eat pizza and watch older sci-fi movies, B-movies, or cheesy scary movies. It's awesome! So we had our final one and watched the British horror-comedy, Shaun of the Dead. We then stayed up late just talking about life and God and zombies...you know, for kids! ;) But seriously, it was fantastic.

Clockwise: Tiffany, Patrick, Andrew, & Brent. Not shown are Danny and my siblings, Courtney & RJ.

Tuesday, June 26th

I took my youngest sister, McKenzie (she's 8) out for lunch at Shari's and then we went to Target to look around. We had a really great time talking and laughing and eating lemon merengue pie! I'll miss that kiddo!

Later, Brent and I went to the library to check out a couple books on CD (we're going to mail them back, haha!). It was our last Twin Falls library trip for a while, if not forever. It's a really fantastic library!

A couple hours later, I met my friend Emily for coffee and then Brent and I went to see a move at the new theater in Twin. We saw The Avengers, which I had seen already but Brent hadn't. It definitely lives up to all the hype! See, we had made this list of things to do in Twin our last week, but we really only succeeded at two of them, haha!

I drank a Bowl of Soul, and we went to the new theater, haha! Instead of Gertie's, we ate at Sushi Ya (more on that later) so I guess that counts...sort of? Rock Creek was where Brent and I had our first kiss and he proposed to me. Walking the canyon and swimming in the river are just fun, haha!

To be continued...

Dad's Birthday

Saturday June 23rd was my dad's birthday!!! Also, it was my last day of work and the official start to our last week in Twin. There were a lot of things to celebrate!
